SHERIDAN
SPARK AWARD
The Sheridan Spark Award recognizes a Sheridan resident or business owner who makes a meaningful impact on the Sheridan community through leadership, mentorship, volunteerism, service, and community involvement.
Beginning this year, our committee will select finalists from YOUR nominations, with the final honoree chosen during Sheridan’s Fourth of July celebration through a voting fundraiser benefiting future Sheridan Events programming.
The selected honoree will be recognized at the event as well as help officially begin Sheridan’s fireworks show by pressing the "GO" button!

GUIDELINES FOR PARTICIPATION

Nominees MUST be a resident or business owner of Sheridan to be nominated
-
No active SEC members may be nominated
-
Nominee finalists will need to plan to attend the 4th celebration at Sheridan High school (Celebration begins at 4 PM, Fireworks at 10:15 PM)

Nominees must be 18 or older by 7/4/26

Anyone can submit a nomination
-
All nominations must be submitted though official form on the SEC website

Self-nominations ARE allowed
-
Nominations must include genuine, verifiable information about nominees
-
Joke, false, incomplete, or inappropriate nominations will not be considered
-
Nominations close on Friday, June 29th
-
Three finalists will be chosen and announced on Wednesday, July 1st ahead of the celebration weekend
-
Announcement will be posted on Sheridan Events social media pages and website

Nominations will have the option to be kept private
-
Winner announcement may include: “Nominated by ______” if option is not selected
-

Finalist selection is determined by committee vote and is final
-
In the event of a tie, the SEC will determine the winner by committee vote
-
Final community voting will take place in person during the Sheridan Fourth of July celebration.

Votes will be cast through monetary donations (“Vote with your Pocket Change!”) placed into finalist voting containers
-
Pennies, coins, and cash donations all count toward vote totals

All proceeds benefit future SEC programming

Voting closes at a designated time announced during the event

The finalist with the highest donation total will be named the Sheridan Spark Award Winner!

The Spark Award winner will be announced at the event, recognized with a begin the 2026 fireworks show

Sheridan Events reserves the right to remove nominees or finalists for:

inappropriate conduct
-
harassment
-
fraudulent voting behavior
-
actions inconsistent with the spirit of the award

we reserve the right to verify nominee eligibility and nomination information
