INCLUSION MATTERS
The Quiet Corner is Sheridan Events' answer to special needs parent's question: "What if we get all the way there and our child is too overwhelmed to participate?"
We believe it is imperative that special needs families are not only thought of, but intentionally included not only in our own events, but all community functions.
If you are planning a local event of your own, we are happy to rent out our supplies to other organizations!
The Quiet Corner was created as a way to provide respite to families that may need a private place to escape sensory overwhelm or engage in specific input needs.
It also provides a space for parents to change a diaper, administer medicine, or anything else their child may require.
We know that sometimes the best laid plans can still end in an unforeseen meltdown and the last thing we want is for an overwhelmed child to keep Sheridan families from attending our events. Sometimes, a quick chill out in a calm space and a comfy chair can be the solution rather than having to leave an event altogether.
When we aren't hosting events, our Quiet Corner gear is in storage. We would love for more special needs families to experience our fun calm down equipment for a much lower cost than what you would pay to duplicate the experience on your own.
